How You Can Build Your Story at the WACTC

Every student who decides to build their story – and potentially, their career – at the WACTC is able to take advantage of the unique benefits the program offers. Hands-on, project-based learning is the norm here, as are opportunities to learn both in and out of the classroom.

WACTC students clock 1400 hours or more working in their chosen field, focusing on the skills and ideas that interest them. For half a day, every day, they work along side teachers who are also accomplished experts in their fields – master electricians, award-winning chefs, advanced certified technicians, and accomplished artists are all part of our staff of mentors.

For the other half of the day, students are enrolled in traditional core academic classes, ensuring they have a well-rounded education. In addition, many students report back that they use those academics skills to help them excel in their chosen career-oriented coursework and projects.
