Today, Warwick Area Career and Technical Center (WACTC) Automotive team of Lynn Gurchik and Ian Donahue competed and placed first in the 2020 Ocean State Automotive Competition sponsored by New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) and the RI Automotive Dealer’s Association.  Both students received automotive tools and a $15,000 scholarship to NEIT.  The two students will be representing RI during April vacation at the New York Auto show competing for the national championship. Fifteen years ago Mr. Jason Marley, their auto teacher and coach, won the same state competition as a student at WACTC.
